Synthesis Accredited Programmes
Assessment for people who take part in our accredited courses
Assessment is based mainly on the work produced during group training sessions and supervised work experience.
We word-process and desktop-publish the records of that work for participants, so that they are not overburdened with homework.
The trainer leading the programme and the examinations officer assist the participants in putting together their portfolio for the external moderator.

Synthesis Programme 3: Certificate in Peer Education For Participation (Level 3 or 4)
This programme gives children and young people the knowledge and skills they need for active citizenship and shows them how to teach other young people about it.
It was originally devised by a UK wide charity led by children and young people, to teach their peers about working with adult decision-makers and developing their own participation projects.
It also teaches children and young people to lead training events with adults that raise awareness of how and why they should develop young peoples participation.
The young people who have taken part in the programme have gone on to set up or improve active citizenship initiatives and become peer trainers and youth workers.
The programme can also be used to train adults to facilitate young people's participation.
